 Vista
del Valle is located in the heart of the central valley's most beautiful
and productive coffee and orange growing region. Mangoes, bananas,
passion fruit and other tropical fruits abound on the property.
About one kilometer from the Inter American Highway, Vista del Valle
sits on the edge of the dramatic Rio Grande Canyon at about 2700 foot
elevation in the middle of a lush plantation. The views of the valley
and the surrounding mountains are stunning.

up at the airport, we can tend to virtually every need.

Within short driving distances are several quaint villages, artisan
centers, several national parks, volcanoes and other favorite
eco-tourism destinations.
Either coast can be reached in about 90 minutes and we are 20 minutes
from the airport. For guests that want to explore the capitol city of
San Jose it is just 40 kilometers away (about 27 miles).
DIRECTIONS FROM THE
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Take highway 1 north in the
direction towards San Ramon. The first large highway sign you'll see
(from the airport going north) indicates Alajuela to the right and San
Ramon straight ahead. Don't take the Alajuela turnoff! We are not
located in the City of Alajuela. We are in the Province of Alajuela
which covers a huge area.
Driving about 22 kms. (15 + - minutes) you will have passed over 3
bridges. The 3rd bridge (known as the Raphael Iglesias bridge) is the
largest one on the highway over the "Rio Colorado".
At this point about 1/2 mile beyond that bridge is our turn off. You may
take the 1st left if there's no traffic but if there's too much traffic
you must take the "official" hairpin right turn that will appear about
100 yards further ahead you should see one of our hotel signs that says
"Vista Del Valle" with an arrow to guide you.
If you get lost and go too far on the highway you will see a BIG service
station on the left. Make the turn off and get back turned toward the
airport and give us a call from this service station or return back
about 1 mile to our turn off (it will be on the right this time). After
either turn off from the highway, our signs take over and you will be
directed at
each intersection to our place by green signs with yellow reflective
letters and arrows. As you approach our gate into the plantation you can
blink your head lights and our "Gate man" will open the gate for you.
Drive through the plantation past coffee and orange trees and enter into
our corner of paradise. Total driving time from the international
airport should be about 25 minutes.
